Memories are associated with the environments in which they took place. This series 'Remembered Landscapes' examines how intimate places can structure ones sense of self. The photographer revisits the locations of vivid childhood memories, resulting in images that are a combination of personal recollection and timeless places of escape.
These images are created based on memories of intimate experience and landscapes in which the artist has felt security. This procedure of re-entering these places allows the photographer to feel a sense of belonging and refuge.
